Apart from the attractions of Margate – Sun, Sea, Sand, Fun-rides, Arcades … you get the opportunity to experience a typical English seaside carnival with a Caribbean Twist with costumed bands from the Notting Hill Carnival. This cultural fusion has provided the right environment for the carnival to grow and now over 250,000 tourists, locals, performers, families attend. It is free and enjoyable.
