The Carnival Roadshow Company
Report - Event 360 Sponsorship Conference Singapore

6th - 10th July 2008

The Carnival Roadshow Company Ltd attended the Event 360 Conference in Singapore. This was organised by IIR Middle East in association with sponsors from IFEA and  MICE Asia.

The CarnivalRoadshow Company was represented by Claire Holder (Managing Director) and Stephanie Harwood (Sponsorship and Marketing). Unfortunately, due to illness, Chris Nortey (Finance Director) was unable to attend.

The opportunity to attend as speakers and share our experiences with conference delegates was invaluable. The Events Management industry in Asia has incrementally expanded and tools and techniques used in the staging of events across the sector have been strengthened and do provide some good examples to us all in the staging of our own events wherever we are in the world.

On Day 1 of the conference our speakers  ran a Pre-Conference Workshop entitled “The Winning Guide To Effectively Obtaining Sponsorship For Your event”. This three hour workshop covered the subject areas such as:

Preparation to obtain sponsorship

Developing a sponsorship package

Making a successful approach to companies

Retaining and sustaining a valued sponsor

On Day 3 of the conference, our speakers addressed conference delegates on “Does Event Sponsorship Deliver That All Important “Value For Money” Factor?

On Day 4, our speakers addressed conference on “Measuring and Evaluating Performance”.

Our speakers went prepared with conference packs for all delegates which contained a detailed script of our past experiences in the respective subject areas, tools and techniques used over the years in our role in organising and managing major community events hosting over 1,000,000 people like the Notting Hill Carnival, the Abuja Carnival , Nigeria amongst others.

The conference was an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, learn new techniques and network with industry leaders. We look forward to future communication with many of the delegates on the subject matters that we addressed.
