| The Carnival weekend gets under way with Panorama on Saturday 27th August 2011 when you can see Britain’s leading steelbands compete for the title of The Notting Hill Carnival Champions of Steel. The evening starts at around 6.00pm at Hornimans Park, Kensal Road, W10 and is a spectacle of light and sound as bands such as Mangrove and Ebony play their unique arrangements to Calypso rhythms. | |

| This competition started back in 1978 and was won by Paddington Youth. It has since been dominated by Ebony Steelband who have won it twelve times with nine consecutive wins. |
