Every year nearly two million people come and enjoy the music, the costumes and the atmosphere of the Notting Hill Carnival. By taking a few simple steps you, too, can be one of them. · Keep your valuables and mobile phones secure · Don’t carry more cash and credit cards than absolutely necessary · Don’t wear expensive jewellery where it can be seen Unfortunately, a very, very, small percentage of those at Carnival will be the victims of crime or some other unfortunate incident. The information on these pages should help you if you need to speak with a police officer. If the matter is urgent please speak to one of the police officers on duty along the Carnival Route or make your way to one of the crime reporting points.
